Skills Fest Roundup
Inspiring Barrow was a sponsor of Skills Fest at Barrow’s Forum Theatre in February , the event brought business and colleges form across the country together to showcase the opportunities that exist for the young people of Barrow. Over 4000 people attended the event which is designed to give advice to help children make informed choices with their options in education.
Students from Furness Academy who had participated in the Inspiring Barrow Kickstart programme volunteered on the day as Skills Advisors using their improved communication and confidence to assist people and guide them.
