Kick Start Autumn Term 2018

Inspiring Barrow Kick Start programme began its third year with children from 12 local primary schools taking part.

The program works to improve communication, resilience, teamwork, leadership and self- efficacy with children in their preparation for SAT’s and transition to secondary school.

The children are collected from school (3 schools per night) and have the experience of visiting one of the secondary schools for the delivery of the programme.

Upon completion of the programme the children are offered the opportunity to have continued support by entering into the Mentoring Programme, where trained mentors from local business and education, support the children for the rest of the academic year.
