Year 8 Kickstart Programme January-March 2022
The year 8 programme got underway in January with a Meet and Greet evening at The Forum Barrow, where families gathered to learn more about the forthcoming programme.
The Focus of the year 8 programme is to encourage Teamwork, Cooperation, and Leadership. The children were tasked with creating community posters that would Inspire Barrow .
Through lots of discussion and deliberation the children decided that they would create a poster campaign intitled Heathy Body, Healthy Mind . Their ideas were collated and with the help of Oxley Development’s LTD were produced and distributed across Furness.
The poster launch took place on March 25th at the celebration evening where Jayne Moorby , the marketing Director for Oxley’s acted as guest speaker.
The programme also included half term activities at The Kepplewray Centre in Broughton and fun activities at Barrow Leisure Centre.
